VINI BUONI D’ITALIA 2022 AWARDS TERENZI

Another important recognition for the well-known winery in Tuscany.

In recent days, the Tuscany winery, Terenzi, has received an excellent award for one of its wines: Vini Buoni d’Italia 2022 has in fact awarded the Corona to Madrechiesa 2018.

Madrechiesa is a Morellino di Scansano Riserva that represents the selection of a single vineyard, particularly suited to the production of quality Sangiovese. A great wine that plays on a balance of elegant, vibrant and fascinating strings, combining sobriety with character. A bottle that perfectly embodies the values of the three young brothers at the head of the Terenzi winery, described by Robert Parker as “one of the most promising realities of all Tuscan viticulture”.

Madrechiesa comes from a terroir slightly smaller than four hectares, characterised by a subsoil rich in magnesium and potassium, with coarse sands and clays from which there is a good presence of skeleton, ideal for draining excess water. Manual harvesting takes place during the month of September. Fermentation of the must takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, where malolactic fermentation also takes place. The subsequent ageing takes place for 12 months in large Slavonian oak casks.

This wine has a bright ruby red colour and a wide and varied bouquet with references to the Mediterranean scrub and undergrowth. In the mouth it is medium-bodied, with a warm and concentrated taste, which calls for an important drink also thanks to the excellent tannic texture.
