Another important award for the well-known Sardinian winery.
In recent days, the winery of Sardinia, Capichera, has received an excellent award for one of its wines: Vini Buoni d’Italia 2022 has awarded Capichera 2019 with Corona.
This is the winery’s iconic wine, first produced in 1980. It was born from the intuition of being able to obtain, from the Vermentino grapes, Capichera’s most beloved, a wine that could compete with the great international whites. The best bunches of these grapes, cultivated in his chosen land, are transformed into a unique and identity wine, elegant and with a strong personality. The name Capichera, from the Latin caput erat “was the capital”, is the ancient name of the family estate.
Capichera 2019 presents a straw yellow colour with brilliant golden reflections and a rich and complex bouquet. Hints are of broom, white peach, aniseed and aromatic herbs, such as rosemary and thyme. Lively, enveloping, full and very fresh: the palate is harmonious and fruity, with a long, mineral and savoury persistence.
