A wine from the Piedmontese winery has been awarded by Falstaff.
The well-known Austrian food and wine magazine recently awarded a wine from the Vallebelbo winery. It gave 91 points to San Maurizio Asti Docg Dolce.
This is a white sweet sparkling wine made from Moscato Bianco grapes, which is grown in Asti, famous for its sparkling wines of the Piedmont province. The grapes are harvested at the time of optimal ripeness of the berries. Primary fermentation takes place in steel vats at a controlled temperature. Then, there is a secondary fermentation in sealed autoclaves, where the previously wine base ferments with sugar and yeast. The result is a light sparkling wine with a pleasant and sweet taste.
San Maurizio Asti Dolce has a pale golden colour with greenish highlights and a subtle pearl. The bouquet is intense and fragrant. The taste is soft, pleasant, sweet, but not cloying, thanks to its perfectly balanced acidity. Delicate, fruity aftertaste with elegant nutmeg nuances.
