TRIACCA: NEW WINERY IN OUR PORTFOLIO

A new winery has joined our portfolio.

It is official: the Valtellina-based winery Triacca is an integral part of our portfolio.

The Casa Vinicola Triacca has been an independent, family-run business for five generations. Back in 1897, Domenico Triacca bought a 2000 sqm vineyard in one of the best locations in Valtellina, the Valgella. He then built a small cellar for processing the grapes and ageing the wines, thus laying the foundations for the “philosophy” of Casa Vinicola Triacca: wines from their own vineyards – from my vineyard. From the initial small estate, the vineyard area gradually expanded to the current 40 hectares.

The Triacca family also devoted itself to viticulture in Tuscany; in 1969, they purchased Fattoria La Madonnina in the heart of Chianti Classico, where today 100 hectares of specialised vineyards are cultivated. In 1990, La Fattoria Santavenere was added in the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano area, with 36 hectares of vineyards. In 1999, they landed in Maremma, purchasing Podere Spadino with 40 hectares of land, 7 of which were planted with Sangiovese in the following years.

We are sure that this collaboration will bring great satisfaction and excellent results.
