The Triacca harvest in Valtellina was “complicated” this year and was slowed down by bad weather. The Inferno, Sassella and Grumello subzones have, in fact, decreased production due to hail and Peronospora. In the Tirano area and La Gatta, however, the results were very good both in terms of quality and quantity.
Compared to last year which will long be remembered for the exceptional quality of the grapes, this year there will be less wine produced for Valtellina Superiore and Sforzato and much more Rosso di Valtellina and Alpi Retiche IGT.
