Recently Robert Parker – Wine Advocate awarded an excellent score to a wine from Tenute Capaldo. Monica Larner awarded 94 points to Goleto 2019.
Greco di Tufo “Goleto” is inspired by a magical place: the Goleto Abbey. This dates back to the 12th century and remains a symbol of Irpinia today; the Abbey preserves its wonderful timeless beauty intact. The Greek grapes from which this wine is made come from selected vineyards and are hand-picked according to the weather patterns of the year. This is aged, for one year, partly in barriques, partly in oak barrels and partly in amphorae. It is a tribute to the charm and history of Irpinia, rich and authentic in every corner.
Goleto has a golden yellow color and a broad bouquet, with intense hints of acacia flowers, honeysuckle notes and mineral tones. The palate reveals good body; it is vibrant and of pleasant finesse.
