The prestigious Rovereto winery recently received an award for one of its wines.
Recently the well-known winery of the Guerrieri Gonzaga family, Tenuta San Leonardo, obtained an excellent score for one of its wines. The 2016 vintage of the homonymous wine, San Leonardo, was awarded by James Suckling with 94 points.
San Leonardo is the most famous and representative wine of the winery, whose production was inaugurated with the historic harvest of 1982. It is a Bordeaux blend wine: it is born from the assembly of wines from different grapes, vinified and aged separately, like the best Bordeaux. The blend is made up of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, to which is added Carmenère, an international grape introduced into the estate at the end of the 19th century and rediscovered in recent times.
This wine expresses its authority with a complex and balsamic olfactory parade, on a floral and musky mantle, and with a perfect gustatory combination of power and finesse, demonstrating great elegance.
