MONTEVETRANO AWARDED BY LUCA MARONI

The well-known Campania winery has recently received an excellent score for one of its wines.

The well-known Campania winery Montevetrano has achieved an excellent result in recent weeks: Luca Maroni tasted and awarded the 2020 vintage of the homonymous wine, Montevetrano, with 96 points.

Montevetrano is a deep and elegant wine that speaks, in a modern key, of its land in the world. The estate is located a few kilometers from Salerno, in the town of San Cipriano Picentino. The soil is of medium texture, loamy.

Montevetrano is an IGT Colli di Salerno red wine, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Aglianico and Merlot. It is ruby red in color, intense and concentrated. The nose has hints of berries, violets, blackberries and black cherries. The spiciness is recalled by notes of licorice, cinnamon, chocolate, mint and tobacco; varies according to the years and the aging process. The interplay of tannins, acidity and wood makes the wine beautifully elegant, as can any young wine with aging potential, transforming elegance into sensual concentration. It is a very characteristic wine, which can age for ten or more years in the bottle.
