This year, due to the particular climatic trend, excessive heat and a complete lack of rainfall, the Nebbiolo vines of Marchesi di Barolo reacted in a heterogeneous manner, depending on their location. Some vines produced more complete bunches, while others produced very open bunches, with small but very concentrated grapes, rich in colour, sugar and aromas. The cool mornings at the beginning of September did, however, allow optimal ripening of the skins. The quality, regardless of the quantity, is exceptional.
