On Etna, the 2021 vintage was characterized by a mild spring with good water reserves in the subsoil; the very hot month of August accelerated the ripening of the grapes. Nerello Mascalese grapes were harvested first at the beginning of September for the production of the sparkling wine base; then, it was rosé time. The harvest of Palmento Costanzo continued with a regular rhythm until the end of October. The vines, despite the excessive heat of August, have managed to give perfectly healthy and ripe fruits, for the production of great wines.
