The well-known winery from Abruzzo recently received 95 points for one of its wines.
In one of Luca Maroni‘s latest tastings, a wine from the Casal Thaulero winery was tasted and reviewed by the expert wine critic. The wine in question is Orsetto Oro Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Doc 2017, which received an impressive 95 points.
Orsetto Oro is the line identified by the Casal Thaulero winery to promote aspects of Abruzzo’s winemaking tradition around the world; in fact, this line is inspired by the symbol of the Abruzzo National Park known everywhere, the bear. Orsetto Oro represents the contemporary face of tradition with wines of modern taste, young but at the same time delicate and elegant, protagonists of current fashions and trends. For the production of this wine, pure Montepulciano grapes are used, grown within the PDO limits imposed by the Regulations in the province of Chieti.
This wine has an intense red colour and a wide and ethereal bouquet with hints of black cherry and wild berries. On the palate it is round, elegant, full-bodied and velvety. The finish is persistent and spicy.
