The Lake Garda winery has received an excellent award for one of its wines.
At the latest Vinalies Mondial du Rosé 2022 the Valtenesi winery received an important award: the gold medal for Rocco 2020.
Rocco is one of the latest wines created and marketed by the Opera Roses winery. This wine is made from a blend of Groppello, Marzemino, Barbera and Sangiovese; young vines that grow and are bred on a stony soil, mixed with sand and rocks. Rocco’s vinification involves light maceration and fermentation in 500-litre French oak tonneaux with first-passage wood. The processing continues with the ageing of the wine in tonneaux with second passage wood.
This wine has a pink colour with pearly veins and a rich and complex bouquet, with notes of vanilla, spices, strawberry and tobacco peach. The palate is soft and velvety, with an aftertaste of vanilla and coconut.
