EDOARDO FREDDI INTERVIEW WITH THE MOST IMPORTANT BUSINESS NEWSPAPER OF ITALY

In the interview with our CEO il Sole 24 Ore reports about the company’s core business, the performance of various markets and the ongoing projects.

We work with wineries of all sizes and help them to grow, to innovate with product extensions or new packaging, to open up to established or niche markets”.

In 2020, a year characterized by the pandemic, the challenges in the wine sector were certainly not lacking but our company has responded well to the Covid tsunami. We have, in fact, adapted promptly and effectively to the situation (blocked trade fairs and trips): meet customers and promote our offer via videocall.

In the interview, then, we talk about the market trends of the last year. “We were able to sell wine, especially red and with a good brand, in premium chains in Denmark and Switzerland and to penetrate the Asian and Russian markets with Abruzzo wines”. The rosé, on the other hand, especially the intermediate price ones, did not have the same success. Furthermore, Edoardo Freddi reiterates that Asian markets are the ones that have responded best to the crisis. “There are countries where demand has always been strong, such as Vietnam and Korea: Muscat and Apulian wines are required there“.

Finally, our CEO, in the interview with Il Sole 24 Ore, talks about some projects underway, including the one with Magea Beverages. “With a startup from Verona, we are launching canned wine in Eastern Europe“.
