The Sardinian winery received an excellent score for one of its wines.
Recently Saraja, a renowned Sardinian winery, received an excellent score for one of its wines: Decanter awarded 90 points to Libaltai Carignano del Sulcis 2020.
Saraja’s Carignano del Sulcis DOC comes from the south-eastern tip of Sardinia, from vines about 15 years old, grown on sandy soils, with the presence of clay, schist and basalt; it is in this area, in fact, that Carignano has found a perfect habitat. Left to mature for 9 months in steel, it is a wine of great expressiveness, surprisingly silky on the palate.
This wine has a ruby red colour and an intense bouquet with hints of blackberry, blueberry and ripe cherry, notes of undergrowth and Mediterranean scrub. The palate is intense and pleasantly rich; the tannins are enveloping and well-defined and the persistence is excellent.
