A new winery has joined our portfolio.
It is official: the Veneto winery Corte Quaiara is an integral part of our portfolio.
Corte Quaiara is a winery with 13 hectares of vineyards, located in San Giorgio in Salici (Sona), in the hinterland of Lake Garda. Here Giovanni, the owner, grows grapes that are not traditional for the area, such as Pinot Noir, Goldtraminer, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Syrah and Petit Verdot, but also has some old Garganega and Oseleta vines.
The wines of Corte Quaiara are like this, outside the box. For Giovanni, they are the best way through which he manages to communicate who he is and what he does. Each of the wines has a precise meaning, and is the result of a choice that is renewed vintage after vintage. The most important challenge is the cultivation of Pinot Noir, a grape variety that is difficult to cultivate but that on the morainic hills of Corte Quaiara has found a soil rich in minerals and a propitious climate.
