The category of bulk wine is becoming incredibly popular in the United Kingdom and in the United States.
“In a year characterized by a significant commercial uncertainty, with the problem of Covid and even Brexit, bulk wine was the wine category that developed best in the UK during the first 11 months of the year”.
In the United Kingdom, bulk wine imports have increased significantly in the last year, recording a growth of 11.5% in volume and 15.5% in value.
“Italy has overtaken Spain as the first European supplier of bulk wine to the United Kingdom, increasing by 16.3%, with a gap of + 6.4% compared to Spain“.
The trend of bulk wine, also, recorded a considerable growth, +11.3% in volume and +17.2% in value in the United States. “Bulk wine was the best developed wine category in the United States.”. Despite this growth, Italian bulk wine exports to the US recorded a decline of about 20%.
Some New World Countries have acquired more and more importance as bulk wine suppliers in recent years. Among these we can mention Argentina, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
