The 2022 Broglia grape harvest will be remembered for one of the most unusual in recent decades.
Due to low rainfall during the winter and a very hot spring and summer, the conditions were not the best. However, thanks to the rainfall before the end of the cortese veraison and exceptional temperature fluctuations between night and day in the weeks leading up to the harvest, the winery was able to have positive surprises at harvest time. The harvest campaign began on 8 September, a week earlier than is the norm, and ended on 30 September.
Broglia immediately found very healthy grapes, with optimum grade and acidity, which bodes well for the production of Gavi di Gavi, both the younger ones and the selections (‘Bruno Broglia’ and ‘Vecchia Annata’).
