Welcome our new partner: CASA PALADIN

CASA PALADIN: In some of the most celebrated wine regions of Italy – Veneto (Prosecco and Valpolicella) Tuscany (Chianti), Lombardy (Franciacorta) – there are estates belonging to the Paladin family. Valentino started the Paladin estate in 1962, continuing the work of his father in the vineyards but also building a cellar that allowed him to bottle wine and believe in the terroir of Prosecco, long before this wine became popular in all the world. With this belief in terroir, the Paladin family was able not only to become known for the sparkling but also for the strong and luscious red wines. The sons of Valentino took over the estate, expanding their activity in other wine regions, where they could experiment their oenological creativity in collaborations with top Italian Universities.

Bosco del Merlo: a special project on the border between Veneto and Friuli, in an area recognised as highly suited for wine-growing since ancient Roman times. Sea breezes on one side, Carnic Pre-Alps on the other side, occasionally the Trieste bora, on a soil characterised by the so-called “caranto”, a lime-clay layer, with fluvioglacial origins and a particular stratification, which provides the grapes with unique characteristics. All the conditions are ideal for top white and red wines.

Castello Bonomi: the only Château in the Franciacorta area, takes its name from the original Art Nouveau building designed by the architect Antonio Tagliaferri at the end of the XIX century. A unique place for producing and ageing the best sparkling Franciacorta Cuvée and Riserva.

Fattoria di Castelvecchi: thee ancient winery is excavated under the castle, and it is dated, as the whole core structure, between the X and the XI century. The vineyards are located on the most scenic hills of Radda in Chianti. The Grand Cru “Colle Petroso” for example lies at an altitude of 560 m. above sea level and is one of the highest vineyards of the whole Chianti area. The altitude gives warm days and cool nights during the growing and ripening season, allowing exceptional and unique aromas to the grapes.
