The well-known Tuscan winery recently received a silver medal for one of its wines.

In recent weeks a wine from the Vallepicciola winery has been tasted and awarded by Decanter. The wine in question is Chianti Classico Docg 2019, which received the silver medal.
Chianti Classico is a Tuscan red wine whose class lies in its ability to bring to light the most typical features of its designation of origin. A label that was created in the light of the strong link between the grape variety used and the territory, and which is proposed as one of the most representative of the entire area.
This wine is made from the purest grapes of the most famous Tuscan variety, known and appreciated throughout the world: Sangiovese. The vineyards are located near Pievasciata and Castelnuovo Berardenga, at about 400 metres above sea level. Here the terroir is characterised by a mainly calcareous and clayey subsoil. The must ferments in small steel vats at a controlled temperature, followed by malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels. The final refinement lasts for 12 months and takes place in large casks.
Chianti Classico has a ruby red colour, dense, concentrated and deep. The intense olfactory profile outlines a progression of fruity notes and dried flowers, enriched by returns of aromatic herbs and sweet spices. On the palate it is medium-bodied, elegant, with a fresh and refined taste.
