Marchesi di Barolo gets the gold medal for one of its wines at the prestigious German competition.
In the latest edition of the Berliner Wein Trophy Marchesi di Barolo achieved an excellent result for one of its wines. Barbera d’Alba Ruvei 2018 received the gold medal.
“Barbera d’Alba is the most traditional of Piedmontese wines”.
This wine is made from fine grapes, coming from clayey soils, which give it an important structure and a vigorous but balanced character. Aging takes place in traditional Slavonian oak barrels which help to make the wine more harmonious and increase the finesse of the bouquet.
The color is ruby red with purple hues. The scent is fresh, with fruity notes reminiscent of blackberry, red fruit jam and spicy hints of vanilla and toasted hazelnut. The taste is full and enveloping, with a slightly evident acidic vein.
